Senokot FAQs

• Senokot Tablets, Senokot-S Tablets, and SenokotXTRA^® Tablets are for occasional use only, unless directed otherwise by a doctor.
• Use stimulant laxatives for no longer than seven (7) days, unless directed otherwise by a doctor.

Taking your dose of Senokot Laxatives at bedtime usually provides overnight relief of constipation within 6-12 hours. But sometimes you may need to take an additional dose. Refer to the Senokot Laxatives package for dosing instructions. Whenever you are unsure about what to do, please call your physician or pharmacist for advice.

The dose of Senokot and Senokot-S for children between 2 and under 6 years of age is half a tablet daily with a max dose not to exceed 1 tablet twice daily. The dose for children between 6 and under 12 years of age is 1 tablet daily with a max dose not to exceed 2 tablets twice a day. For children under 2 please check with a doctor.

The dose for adults 12 years and older is 2 tablets daily with a maximum dose of 4 tablets twice a day.
