What to Teach
There are many facets to toilet training. They include: undressing, "going," wiping, dressing, flushing and hand-washing. You can reinforce your child's success at every stage with praise, smiles and hugs. ("Emily is sitting on the potty just like Mommy." "I know you're trying very hard to make _______ in the potty.")
The toddler needs to learn the vocabulary of toilet training
(pee, poop, dry, wet, clean, messy, potty, wipe).
Children must be taught proper hygiene. Girls should be taught to wipe gently from front to back. All children should be taught to wash their hands after going to the toilet.

Some children are afraid of the toilet or the sound of its flushing. Some become upset about the disappearance of the stool. Let your child flush if he or she wants to. Reassure the child about the toilet and the loss of stool.

Senokot® Laxatives contain no harsh impurities.
